Arboricola Trinette Plant Care Guide

Why People Love This Plant
Easy to care for, variegated, and capable of many forms, arboricola trinette is a landscape staple in tropical south Florida. It can be showy on its own, but many love to use it to form a colorful hedge and highlight other plants. It can also be an excellent indoor plant and is quite spectacular on it’s own!
Your Guide to Care
Care: Easy to Moderate
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Try placing your plant a few feet back from a east, west, or south facing window. A partial sun to partial shade situation is ideal if placing outdoors. Too much sun can burn arboricola trinette’s leaves.
Water: Water slowly, deeply, and evenly when the top half of the soil feels dry. You can let this plant dry out a little between waterings. A sign of overwatering is yellow, dropped leaves.
Temperature: 65 to 85F is ideal. Try to avoid temperatures under 60F as this plant will suffer. Keep your arboricola away from drafty doors or windows and heating/cooling vents as these drafts can damage your plant.
Humidity: This plant likes humidity, make sure to provide some by misting your plant or using a humidifier nearby.
Feeding: Fertilize your schefflera every two or three months with a water-soluble/slow release fertilizer. The more light your plant gets, the more often you should fertilize.

Noticing lanky, thin, and pale growth? This is an indicator you need to fertilize and that there is a lack of nutrients available.
Make sure to turn your plant every few weeks so it grows evenly!
