Quick Care Instructions for Boston Ferns

Light: Boston ferns like bright, indirect light (indoors and out). Direct sun can burn their fronds, whereas too much shade can cause sparse fronds.

Water: This plant prefers to be wet rather than dry. Make sure the soil is always moist, but not soggy. Check the soil everyday if possible and water when the soil starts to feel dry. Dry soil is a killer of Boston ferns.

Temperature & Humidity: 65 to 75F is their ideal temperature. These plants are very sensitive to temperatures and are intolerant of extreme temperatures. Provide lots of humidity!

Feeding: Not a hungry plant. You can fertilize your boston fern a couple of times a year, they don’t need much fertilizer.
