FAQ

General

Will my plant look exactly like the photo?

Yes, and no. Just like people, plants are alive and each of them are unique and carry their own personalities. So will your plant look similar to the photo? Of course! But will it be identical? No, because we sell live plants, not fake ones.

Can you send me a picture of the exact plant I’ll be sent?

Unfortunately, no. The photos in the listing are close to what you will receive. We try to choose a plant that best represents our inventory for the product photo.

Can I buy a plant now and have it ship at a later date?

No. If you are buying a plant please make sure you are ready to receive it. We ship out orders as we receive them.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

TPoF ships to the 48 contiguous United States. Excluded are Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

My order has not arrived and tracking says it has been delivered. What should I do?

Please contact us as soon as possible.

Heat Packs

Do I have to order a heat pack with my plant?

If your nightly temperatures are 38°F or lower, yes, you need to order a heat pack with your plant. Without a heat pack your plant will likely arrive with cold damage that we cannot be held responsible for as you chose to risk your plants healthy arrival.

What size heat pack should I order?

Small heat packs are for 1 Gallon plants, while large heat packs are for 3 Gallon, 5 Gallon, and 7 Gallon plants. Make sure to order one heat pack per plant ordered as all plants are shipped separately.

What do you get when you order a heat pack?

Your new plant baby actually gets more than just a packet of warmth when you order a heat pack for its journey. When you order a heat pack we also wrap your plant in a nice warm “blanket” made from recycled jeans!

Plant Arrival

I just got my plant.. what now?

Your new plant just arrived, how exciting! First thing to recognize is your plant just went multiple days without water and sunlight to get to you. Imagine if you were stuffed into a box and not given any food or water for days, you’d feel pretty stressed right? That’s exactly how your plant feels, not to mention it has to adjust to its new environment! With that said, after you unbox your plant, feel the soil. Does it feel dry? Wet? Most likely it will feel dry and need to be rehydrated. After checking your plants hydration levels find a nice spot with some light. The amount of light needed of course varies per plant species.

When should I repot my plant and what kind of pot should I look for?

Give your plant about 3 to 4 weeks to adjust to its new environment. Ideally you should select a pot with drainage holes. You can check out our guide on repotting here.

Why does my plant have white powdery spots?

The white spots are from a preventative spray we use to keep all our plant material free of bugs and disease.

Damage/Help

Please contact us as soon as possible so we can evaluate the situation. Be aware that you do need to contact us within 30 days of your purchase, we are not responsible after this time. Please have patience while we respond to your concern. Make sure to include photos (under 5mb preferably).
