Pink Muhly Grass is a relatively low-maintenance plant. Plant it in well-draining soil in a location that receives full sunlight for optimal growth. Water regularly during its establishment period, and once established, it demonstrates good drought tolerance. Pruning is generally not necessary, but cutting back the grass in late winter or early spring can encourage fresh growth. Dividing mature clumps every few years helps maintain vigor.

Pink Muhly Grass typically blooms in late summer to fall, producing its distinctive pink plumes. The feathery inflorescences create a captivating, wispy effect that lasts for several weeks, providing a stunning visual impact in gardens and landscapes.

The best time to plant Pink Muhly Grass is in the spring or early fall. These periods provide favorable conditions for the grass to establish a robust root system before facing more extreme temperatures.

Pink Muhly Grass typically reaches a mature height of 3 to 4 feet, with an equal or slightly larger spread. The airy and open nature of the plant contributes to its graceful appearance, and its size makes it suitable for various landscaping applications, from mass plantings to borders and container gardens.
