Passion Vine Care

Passiflora spp.

Ensuring the health and prolific blooming of your passionflower vines involves strategic placement and mindful watering. Plant these vines in areas receiving full sun to partial shade, with consideration for some afternoon shade in exceptionally hot climates. Passionflowers generally thrive with four to six hours of sunlight daily, adjusting to their specific climatic needs. If potted and brought indoors during winter, provide bright, indirect light, and shield them from drafts.

For watering, deeply water passionflowers immediately after planting, followed by one or two waterings per week throughout the growing season, delivering approximately 1 to 1.5 inches of water weekly.

The red passion vine plant is rated for Zones 6 to 10.

The red passion vine is pet friendly!

Regular watering, especially during dry periods, and occasional fertilization contribute to robust growth and vibrant blooms.
