Its blooms appear at the end of growing season, making for a nice end to fall. Native to Florida and the eastern United States, muhly grass will grow about 3 to 4 feet tall. Care: Easy
Light: Part sun to Full sun. While it can tolerate some shade, For proper blooming needs at least a few hours of sunlight each day
Water: Once established rainfall should be fine. Plant is drought tolerant and prefers dry soil. Muhly grass develops deep roots, enabling it to succeed in hot, dry weather conditions. Only water if you observe dry soil two inches deep or more. In this case you can provide about an inch of water. Only needs additional water if in severe drought.
Temperature: Muhly grass loves warm, dry weather conditions. Hardy to zone 6, this ornamental grass cannot tolerate winter temperatures below -10F.
Humidity: This ornamental grass likes dry weather, so there is no need to worry about providing humidity. However, too much humidity can possibly negatively impact the plant, leaving it more susceptible to diseases.
Feeding: Muhly grass can thrive without fertilizer. Be cautious of too much nitrogen as it can have a negative impact.

Muhly grass requires dry, well draining soil that is not too wet or boggy. It can also tolerate salt very well, such salt from irrigation or road salt.
