Thunbergia Grandiflora Care

Thunbergia grandiflora

The Blue Sky Vine plant is ideally suited to full sun exposure, thriving in the radiant warmth of direct sunlight. However, it exhibits its best performance when provided with a bit of afternoon shade, striking a balance between sunlight exposure and shade.

When it comes to watering the Sky Vine, a key consideration is to moisten the soil when it feels dry to the touch. It thrives in soil that is consistently moist, and to achieve this, it’s important to maintain well-drained soil. Avoiding over-saturation is crucial, and while the plant can endure periods of dryness, it truly flourishes when subjected to regular and appropriately balanced watering practices.

The blue sky vine plant is rated for Zones 8b to 10.

Pet friendliness for the bengal clock vine is unknown.

Bengal Clock Vine FAQ

To care for the Sky Vine, provide it with a sunny location, ensuring exposure to full sun with a touch of afternoon shade for optimal growth. Keep the soil consistently moist, watering when it becomes dry to the touch, while maintaining well-drained soil to prevent over-saturation. This striking vine thrives on regular moisture, showcasing its vibrant blue flowers in a balanced environment.

Sky Vines, also known as Thunbergia grandiflora, can achieve impressive heights, often growing vigorously in favorable conditions. The vines can reach lengths of 20 to 30 feet, creating a stunning display of blue blossoms and lush foliage as they climb and spread.

As for deer resistance, Sky Vines possess characteristics that make them less appealing to deer. While no plant is entirely deer-proof, Sky Vines are known to be less attractive to deer, making them a good choice for gardeners looking to deter these animals from their landscape.
