Your Guide to Care
Care: Succuluent plant, low maintenance.
Light: Make sure to provide a lot of bright light while avoiding direct sunlight as it could scorch the leaves. The kalanchoe plant will go through bloom cycles which starts with about 6 weeks of limited light and 14 hours of darkness. Once this cycle finishes the plant will bloom in about four months.
Water: The kalanchoe plant is a succulent, so it will do well with minimal water. You should fully saturate your plant every few weeks, letting the soil dry out completely inbetween waterings.
Temperature: 55 to 80F is their ideal temperature range. It is not incredibly picky and will do well with home temperatures. Do make sure to protect this plant from frost, as it will kill the plant.
Humidity: Kalanchoe plants are not particular are humidity levels.
Feeding: Not a very hungry plant. Feed once a month during spring and summer, then stop for fall and winter.
Bonus
Sparse flowers? A higher phosphorous fertilizer may help. Pinching stems of the kalanchoe plant will encourage blooming and help your plant to keep its shape!
